Not all magnesium chloride raw materials are created equal.
Dead Sea–derived magnesium chloride from Israel begins with a naturally mineral-rich brine. Along with magnesium chloride, this brine naturally contains other mineral salts, including potassium, sodium and calcium compounds. While this mineral profile can be desirable for products marketed around the Dead Sea mineral story, it is not necessarily what we want when manufacturing a product where purity, consistency and formulation control are the priority.
Why We Chose High-Purity Magnesium Chloride
Our magnesium chloride is sourced from China's salt-lake industry and is supplied to a 99.8+% purity specification*.
China has a large, established magnesium and salt-lake processing industry capable of producing highly standardized magnesium chloride grades at commercial scale. Our material is produced from salt-lake brines using natural evaporation, followed by processing and purification to achieve a controlled, consistent raw material.
In China's Qinghai salt-lake region, mineral-rich brines are concentrated through natural evaporation in large salt fields. Magnesium-rich brine remaining from mineral and potassium-salt production can then be further processed and crystallized into high-purity magnesium chloride.
