Because of its anti-oxidant qualities, bisabolol can help keep skin firm and youthful-looking by visibly reducing the signs of aging. Due to its anti-inflammatory qualities, it frequently plays a bioactive skin-calming role and is found in many products made for sensitive skin. In addition to its calming effects, research suggests bisabolol may have some ability to lighten discolouration. It provides moisturization and relieves dry, itchy, flaky skin.
Hair care: Because of its high panthenol concentration, it can effectively stimulate and promote the skin's healing process and encourage healthy hair growth
Origin: German chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla or Matricaria recutita) plants or the Brazilian candeia tree (Vanillosmopsis erythropappa) bark are the two sources used to extract bisabolol. Similar steps are taken in the extraction process as in the distillation of essential oils. Following the extraction of the raw oil, it is refined to separate the desired bisabolol from the other ingredients.
