PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Bergamot Bergaptene-Free Essential Oil is derived from the aromatic peel of Citrus bergamia, a citrus fruit traditionally cultivated in Calabria, southern Italy.
Renowned for its distinctive fragrance, Calabrian bergamot combines the freshness of citrus with subtle floral sweetness and warm, slightly spicy undertones.
Unlike conventional cold-pressed bergamot oil, this variety undergoes additional processing to remove bergaptene, a naturally occurring furanocoumarin associated with increased skin sensitivity to ultraviolet light.
This makes bergaptene-free bergamot particularly desirable for cosmetic formulators developing fragranced skincare and personal care products.
Naturally containing aromatic constituents such as limonene, linalyl acetate, and linalool, bergamot offers a balanced fragrance that is both refreshing and comforting.
