Unlike a basic purple shampoo that focuses only on pigment, CLC's formula combines Ext. Violet 2, Panthenol, Aloe, Hemp Seed Oil, Glycerin and a botanical extract complex to help maintain softness, hydration and shine while you tone.

Why Does Purple Shampoo Work?

It's Colour Science.

Purple and yellow sit opposite each other on the colour wheel. When blonde, bleached, highlighted, gray or silver hair begins developing unwanted yellow or warm tones, violet pigment can visually counteract that warmth.

CLC Purple Toning Shampoo uses Ext. Violet 2, a violet colourant that deposits during washing to help neutralize visible yellow tones.

Yellow / Warm Tones + Violet Pigment → A Cooler, More Neutral Appearance

The longer and more frequently violet pigment is allowed to deposit, the stronger the toning effect can become.

This makes purple shampoo particularly useful for:

  • Blonde & platinum hair
  • Bleached or lightened hair
  • Blonde highlights & balayage
  • Gray, white & silver hair
  • Hair prone to developing unwanted yellow tones

CLC Tip: Purple shampoo doesn't actually lighten or bleach the hair. Instead, it helps correct the appearance of unwanted warmth by depositing violet pigment.

Ingredients

Deionized Water, Alkyl Polyglucosides, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil, Sodium Chloride, Vegetable Glycerin, Panthenol, Salix Alba (White Willow) Bark Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Trifolium Pratense (Red Clover) Flower Extract, Sambucus Nigra (Elder) Flower Extract, Parfum*, Polysorbate 20, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ext. Violet 2.

How to Use: 

Apply to wet hair and massage throughout the scalp and hair, concentrating on areas where yellow or brassy tones are most noticeable.

For light toning, massage through the hair and rinse thoroughly.

For stronger toning, allow the shampoo to remain on the hair briefly before rinsing. Because blonde and highly porous hair can absorb violet pigment more quickly, start with a short contact time and increase gradually as needed.

Follow with conditioner.

Use 1–2 times per week or as needed to maintain your preferred tone. Alternate with your regular shampoo between toning washes.

Important: Very light, bleached, damaged or porous hair may take up violet pigment more readily. Avoid excessive contact time until you know how your hair responds. Discontinue use if irritation occurs and avoid contact with eyes.

Please check the measurements and template with your container to ensure the desired fit. It is the customer's responsibility to conduct proper product compatibility testing with containers, closures, and decoration methods.

Bleeds: Include 1/8 inch bleeds, and keep all critical art at least 1/8 inch away from the trim line.

Colour: Use CMYK colour profile.

Acceptable file types: PDF, EPS. We prefer Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign PDF files. We also accept Adobe Photoshop and EPS files. We cannot accept doc, docx, xls, pub, jpg, tiff, png, or bmp files.

Requirements: Provide all fonts with the file or convert fonts to outlines. Any placed raster images should be at least 300 dpi CMYK files. We also accept 300 dpi CMYK Photoshop files, but vector art will yield a superior print.

Working with PDF templates: Our templates are provided as PDF files. Your artwork should be created or exported from software that produces high-quality vector PDFs, preferably Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, or Adobe Photoshop. Vector art is preferred for crisp, scalable results.

Previewing PDF templates: You can preview your PDF template in Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, or Adobe InDesign. 

CAUTION: Some PDF viewers (like web browser PDF plugins) may not display your file to scale. Always check your artwork in professional software to ensure the correct size and layout before submission.
